abstract | According to the invention, new herbicidal compositions are provided which, as active compound 3-amino-2-cyanoacrylic acid esters of the formula (I) in which R 1 is alkoxyalkyl or benzyloxyalkyl, R 2 is alkyl or alkenyl, R 3 is hydrogen or alkyl R4 is hydrogen or optionally alkyl substituted by hydroxy, halogen, alkoxy or dialkylamino, X1 and X2 are identical or different and represent hydrogen, halogen, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkyl, haloalkoxy, amino, alkylamino, alkylcarbonylamino, N-alkyl-carbonyl-N-alkylamino, dialkylaminocarbonylamino or in each case optionally substituted aryl or aryloxy, or X1 and X2 together with the adjacent phenyl radical represent naphthyl and m represents the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, as well as in the event that R4 is not hydrogen, and their optically active compounds in addition to extenders and / or surface-active agents.
