abstract The invention relates to a process for preparing a, v-disubstituted polymers whose polydispersity arbitrarily approaches the theoretical value, by free-radical polymerization, homo- or copolymerization of free-radically polymerizable monomers using one or more initiators. According to the invention, the degree of polymerization is maintained at the desired level by continuously increasing the temperature. In the case of a given heat program, the process according to the invention makes it possible to increase the conversion without worsening the polydispersity.
