titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF MODIFIED CELLULOSE SURFACES WITH IMPROVED BLOOD CONTRASTING |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of modified cellulose surfaces having improved blood compatibility, wherein the sodium allysulfonate-based terpolymers used as modifying agents are grafted chemically covalently by a heterogeneous polymer-analogous reaction onto the regenerated cellulose molding body in the form of a flat or hollow fiber membrane. The polymer-analogous reaction is limited to the surface of the cellulosic molding, whereby the morphological basic structure of the molding remains largely intact with the aim of an unchanged separation performance. The present invention makes it possible to modify membranes of regenerated cellulose in such a way that the phenomena of leukopenia and complement activation occurring in the dialysis treatment remain markedly reduced in their extent. |
