titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR GAINING HIGH 99 MO |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the recovery of 99Mo. In particular, the invention can be used as a purification step for the 99Mo activity produced by the nuclear fission of the 235U. With the invention, a method is to be created, which delivers an extremely pure 99Mo product with minimal technical and time expenditure without increasing the corrosion of the system components and the burden of exhaust filters under remote-controlled work. According to the invention, this is achieved by recovering the 99Mo in high chemical and radiochemical purity from a nitrate-containing cleavage product solution of high radioactivity while retaining the nitrate system by means of an extraction chromatographic process. |
