titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING PURE STRONTIUM CHLORIDE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of pure, slightly water-soluble strontium salts from aqueous salt solutions containing strontium and calcium salts. It has been found that from strontium chloride solutions containing Ca2 portions, the Ca2 can be easily and effectively precipitated by treatment with strontium hydroxide as calcium hydroxide and separated by filtration. After separation of the calcium hydroxide, the resulting strontium chloride solution is neutralized by the addition of hydrochloric acid.
