abstract The invention relates to a chemical-enzymatic test method for determining feed value characteristics for feed, in particular for chemically digested straw. Both the digestibility of the organic substance and the content of indigestible organic substance can be determined in vitro. According to the invention, this is achieved by alkaline pre-treatment of the feed at elevated temperature prior to the cellulase treatment.
