titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR PREPARING 1,4-DISUBSTITUTED-2,3-DIBROME BUT-2-ENENE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1,4-disubst.-2,3-dibromo-but-2-enes of the general formula RXCH2CBrCBrCH2XR (I) in which R is an alkyl, aryl, hetaryl, acyl, Arylsulfonyl, aminothiocarbonyl or alkoxythiocarbonyl group and X is oxygen or sulfur or RX is an amino, azido or N-hetaryl group. The aim of the invention is the preparation of these compounds from easily accessible starting materials. According to the invention, 1,2,3,4-tetrabromo- or 2,3-dibromo-1,4-dichloro-but-2-ene are reacted with O-, S- or N-nucleophiles or 1,4-disubst.-. but-2-ene brominated or 2,3-dibromo-but-2-en-1,4-diol is reacted with alkylating, acylating or sulfonylating agents. 1,4-Disubst.-2,3-dibromo-but-2-enes can be used as intermediates for organic syntheses, in particular for the production of biologically active substances.
