abstract The invention relates to a process for producing a solid fuel based on mixtures of cellulosic materials and waxes, which can be used for lighting and heating purposes mainly in open hearths, and a method for its preparation. According to the invention, the object is achieved by adding inorganic and / or organic blowing agents which form gaseous cleavage products at elevated temperature to this mixture of a composition which is known per se and which slow down the burning rate for the same duration of ignition.
