abstract Light-retractable dental composites based on special methacrylates and fillers that hardened when irradiated with light of wavelength a365 nm. They are particularly suitable as crown and bridge material or as filling material instead of amalgam. The object is achieved according to the invention in that the light-retortable dental composite as the main component consists of a dioxolane (meth) acrylate of the formula 1 and inorganic fillers alone or in combination with organic fillers.
