titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE TECHNICAL PREPARATION OF 2-AMINO-4,5-DIMETHOXYBENZOESE ACID METHYL ETERS
abstract The invention relates to a technical process for the preparation of 2-amino-4,5-dimethoxybenzoesaeuremethylester by catalytic hydrogenation of 3,4-dimethoxy-6-nitrobenzoesaeuremethylester with nickel catalyst. The object of the invention to carry out the hydrogenation of the nitro compound in a suitable solvent with a reusable nickel catalyst whose activity is not inactivated in acetic acid medium, to perform by treating an aluminum-nickel alloy with hydrate under special conditions and the hydrogenation of the nitro compound in a solvent mixture consisting of a certain ratio of ethyl acetate and ethanol at high pressure and high temperature is carried out with the nickel catalyst obtained. The target compound is required in high purity as an intermediate for the preparation of medicaments.
