abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel 3-carbamoyl-1,2,4-triazole-5-thiocarbonsaeureamide, which are of interest as biocidal substances or building blocks for secondary products. The aim of the invention is a simple method that allows the representation of these previously unknown compounds. The essence of the invention is that 3-carbamoyl-5-halo-methyl-1,2,4-triazoles with elemental sulfur or polysulfides and amines in the presence of a solvent in new 3-carbamoyl-1,2,4-triazole -5-thiocarboxylic acid amides of the formula II in which R, R1, R2H, alkyl, aryl, aralkyl and R3, R4H, alkyl, aralkyl, are reacted.
