titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF LD DEEP 50
abstract The invention relates to a method for the quantitative determination of LD50 and is used in the pharmaceutical industry and in pharmacology. The aim of the invention is to provide a novel test method for the quantitative determination of the LD50 on the basis of the cell culture determined inhibitory concentration 50 (IC50), which is generally applicable. The task is to test the cytotoxic effect of a number of newly developed active ingredients. The object was achieved by using a calf aortic endothelial cell line BKEz-7 and applying the general (nonspecific) cytotoxicity test. The method of the invention is also suitable for comparison of other cell types and cell types or cell performances with the LD50 for the purpose of predicting LD50 estimates.
