abstract The aim of the invention is to provide new, biologically active quinazolinone benzoic acid esters in practice as active ingredients. According to the invention, a 2-aminobenzamide of the general formula I is reacted in solution or suspension in an organic solvent with addition of an auxiliary base with a phthaloylester chloride of the general formula II to give the corresponding compound of the general formula III. Among the compounds of general formula III are fungicidally active substances.
