titleOfInvention | PROCESS FOR PREPARING POLYMERES WITH FUNCTIONAL END GROUPS |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of polymers having functional end groups by anionic polymerization of conjugated dienes and vinylaromatic monomers by means of low molecular weight polylithium initiators in hydrocarbon solvents. The initiators used are reaction products of divinylbenzene with dilithium organo compounds. With these initiators, terminally functional polymers having an average functionality of 4 can be prepared after chain termination with electrophilic reagents. |
