titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING HEART-ACTIVE 14 BETA-HYDROXY ANDROSTAN GLYCOSIDES |
abstract | The invention aims to develop a process for the preparation of cardiac active 14b-hydroxy-androstane glycosides of general formula I. The process according to the invention is characterized in that androstane derivatives are reacted with an 1-haloacyl sugar in an inert solvent in the presence of a suitable heavy metal salt. The reaction takes place between 0C and the boiling point of the solvent, preferably at room temperature. Subsequently, the acylated glycosides are saponified. |
