abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 6-substituted thymines. Field of application is the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. The invention aims to develop a technically applicable process for the preparation of the above-mentioned compounds. According to the invention, 6-fluorothymine compounds are reacted with ammonia or primary amines in a molar ratio of 1: 2 to 1: 3, optionally in the corresponding amine itself, if appropriate in an inert solvent.
