titleOfInvention METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GEFAESSPROTHESEN
abstract Process for the preparation of vascular prostheses relates to vascular surgery. The aim of the invention is to provide the vascular surgeons and tissue banks with vascular prostheses which are substantially improved compared to known heterologous arterial transplants and plastic implants. The essence of the invention consists in the formation of random fiber nonwoven prostheses in seamless execution of any length, with different inner diameters, even in one copy, in necessary forms, even with branches. The web formation takes place from homogeneous fiber suspensions around perforated Gefaessmodelle. The structure of the prostheses is started according to the histology of native vessels with dense interlacing and terminated with loose interweaving. Vascular prostheses made in this way can be used in medicine as a replacement for defective human arteries or as vascular occlusions.
