abstract The invention relates to a process for the separation of aluminum and lithium chloride. For this purpose, an aqueous solution containing these salts is evaporated to dryness and the then present crystals with an oligoether or oligoether alcohol of the general formula with RH, CH3, C2H5 or alkoxymethyl; XYH, alkyl, aryl or heteroaryl or Xalkyl, aryl or heteroaryl and YH or XYbifunctional group of the formula -CH2CH2-, -CH2CH2CH2-, -CH2-CHOH-CH2 ;, -Ch2CH (H2OH) - or o-phenylene and m1, 2 or 3 and n0-20, extracted in bulk or in solution.
