abstract The invention relates to a block of a koernigen promoted iron oxide catalyst for ammonia synthesis. The object of the invention is to provide such a catalyst block which has low hygroscopicity, low hydraulic resistance, high mechanical compressive strength and the same catalytic activity as the starting co-catalyst. According to the present invention, a block of a co-promoted iron oxide catalyst for ammonia synthesis is provided comprising a carboxylic promoted iron oxide catalyst, aluminate of a metal and reinforcing elements. As metal aluminate, the catalyst block according to the invention contains the aluminate of an alkaline earth metal. The catalyst block of the present invention has the following composition in mass:% ferricated ferric oxide catalyst 84.0-94.5 aluminate of an alkaline earth metal 5.0-15.0 alarming elements 0.5-1.0
