The object of the invention to improve the adhesion of hydrophobic Filmtraegermaterialien is solved by passing a hydrophobic photographic carrier material before the application of substrate layers to an electron beam source, wherein at least one surface of the carrier material for 0.1 to 100 seconds with an absorbed dose of 50 bis 300 kGy is irradiated.
