abstract | The aim of the invention is an improved process for the economical production of N, N-dialkyl-N-aryl ureas, which works without phosgene and the N, N-dialkyl-N-aryl ureas from nitroaromatics or nitroaromatic-arylamine mixtures, dialkylamines and carbon monoxide in one single-stage process in the presence of simple, cheaper sulfur-based catalysts. For this purpose, nitroaromatics or nitroaromatic-arylamine mixtures are reacted with dialkylamines and carbon monoxide in the presence of catalytic amounts of sulfur and / or sulfur compounds and at least one oxygen-containing vanadium compound having at least one direct oxygen-vanadium bond. |
