titleOfInvention METHOD FOR IN VITRO DETERMINATION OF AMMONIA IN BLOOD
abstract The invention relates to a method for the in vitro determination of ammonia in blood. The method is based on microdiffusion and isotope-degeneration analysis and is characterized in that a certain amount of blood serum with a known amount mixed with the stable isotope 15N labeled ammonium chloride with known 15N content and known 15N abundance, the mixture of microdiffusion (addition of K2CO3 and absorption of the liberated ammonia in sulfuric acid), the ammonia bound in the sulfuric acid is subjected to isotopic analysis, and the ammonia content of the blood is determined according to the equation for the isotope-expansion analysis.
