titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A MEANS FOR TREATING DISORDERS WHICH COME WITH CHANGES IN THE PULMONARY SURFACTANT SYSTEM |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of an agent for the treatment of diseases associated with changes in the pulmonary surfactant system. The recovery is carried out according to the invention by agitating comminuted lung or an aqueous lung extract with a water-immiscible lipid solvent. After removal of the undissolved constituents, the solvent is evaporated and the solvent-free active ingredient is emulsified in the aqueous phase and lyophilized. The agent may be administered in the form of aerosol or as a bolus via the respiratory tract at a dose of 1-500 mg / ml physiological carrier fluid. It can be used in all respiratory diseases that are associated with a disturbance of the surfactant system. The process results in an agent with the main ingredients 20-75% phospholipids, 10-40% cholesterol and 5-60% neutral lipids. The protein content is less than 1.5%. |
