abstract The aim of the invention is the provision of selective herbicides for the treatment of crops. According to the invention, chloro-s-triazines of the general formula in the R1 are a straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl or alkylol radical or a cyclopentyl or cyclohexyl ring optionally substituted by up to 5 methyl groups, R 2 is a radical from the group of the alkyls with one to three C atoms or preferably an H atom and R is a radical from the group of alkyls having one to three C atoms, applied for the selective treatment of crops.
