abstract The invention relates to a process for the preparation of alkylammonium 2-aryl-5-benzylideneamino-thiazole-4-thiolates by reacting dithiooxamide with aromatic aldehydes and secondary amines. The aim of the invention is to find a simple one-step process and thus to provide the title compounds as reactive intermediates for subsequent syntheses.
