titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING AMMONIUM HYDRIDOPENTAFLUOROPHOSPHATES
abstract Ammonium hydridopentafluorophosphate, A (HPF5), is an excellent source of PF3 generation. The object of the invention is to provide a simple process for the preparation of ammonium hydridopentafluorophosphates in any quantities and in high yields from readily available phosphorus compounds. The title compounds can be prepared by reacting a trivalent phosphorus compound, PY1Y2Y3, in which Y1, Y2 and Y3 can be alkoxy, aroxy, alkylthio, arylthio and organylamido groups as well as halogen atoms, with an ammonium fluoride, A (Hn 1Fn) (n). There are usually non-crystallizing, oelige liquids, which can be stored under exclusion of moisture as long as desired in Glasgefaessen.
