titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF 3-ACETOACETYLCUMARINES
abstract It is a technologically very simple, based on readily accessible starting materials process for the preparation of 3-Acetoacetylcumarinen, which can be used as intermediates for the preparation of dyes and pharmaceutical compounds described. Triacetic acid lactone is reacted in an organic solvent with aromatic o-hydroxyaldehydes in the presence of tertiary amines to give 3-acetoacetylcoumarins.
