abstract | The invention relates to a novel catalyst system for olefin polymerization. The aim of the invention is the improvement of the catalytic activity. The object of the invention is the provision of a new catalytic system containing a titanium component. According to the invention, the system consists ofa) a cocatalytic component containing an organometallic compound of Groups I to III of the Periodic Table, and b) a titanium-containing catalytic component obtained by: (i) co-pulverizing a substantially anhydrous magnesium containing halogen. A compound or a halogen-containing manganese compound comprising: a phenol, a silicone-containing organic polymer, a titanium halide and an electron donor compound for producing a co-pulverized product, and (ii) reacting the co-pulverized product with a halogen-containing liquid titanium compound. |
