abstract The invention relates to a method for producing spinnfaehiger cellulose solutions with organic solvents. It is the object of the invention to provide a process for the solution of the cellulose with organic solvents, which is both environmentally friendly and so economical that it could eliminate the conventional viscose process. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the activated cellulose is dissolved with hexamethylphosphoric acid triamide or corresponding solvent mixtures with the addition of lithium halides.
