titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR CLEANING MICROBIAL BIOMASSES AND FOR SEPARATING CELL INGREDIENTS |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for the purification of microbial biomass of substrate residues and for the separation of lipophilic cell constituents by means of gases under pressure and at elevated temperature. According to the invention, the microbial biomass is brought into contact in a first process stage with a supercritical gas, preferably with CO 2 or light hydrocarbons. In a second process stage, a selective component, preferably an alcohol or ketone, in the mass ratio of about 1: 1 to 10: 1 is added to the gas. In this way, the stepwise removal of the substrate residues and biogenic lipids is possible. As a starting material, for example, microbial biomass can be used, which were cultivated on Erdoelkohlenwasserstoffen. The inventive method is gentle and ensures the achievement of a high purity of the microbial biomass. |
