PROCESS FOR CONVERTING 1,2-STAINED STEROIDS IN 1,2-DEHYDROSTEROIDS |
abstract |
Described is an improved microbiological conversion for the preparation of 1,2-dehydro-steroids from their corresponding 1,2-saturated derivatives. An advantage of the method described is that air or heat-dried microbial cells or microorganism cells can be used as supplier or source for the steroid-1-dehydrogenase activity. Advantageous in the context of the described method is further that during the course of the reaction, a water-immiscible organic solvent in the form of an aromatic hydrocarbon can be used. |
