titleOfInvention PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ERGOCRISTINE
abstract To provide Ergocristin in sufficient amounts for the therapy, the task was set to produce by saprophytic culture of a fungus strain of this alkaloid, with a high proportion of Ergocristin in the Gesamtalkaloidgemisch should be achieved. The task is solved by using the spore-forming strain Claviceps purpurea (Fr.) Tul. To produce Ergocristin. DH82, ZIMET 43695, uses its mutants or variants. The strain, starting from spores as inoculum, is grown in aerobic submerged fermentation using a liquid nutrient medium containing an assimilable carbon source, an assimilable nitrogen source and mineral salts at a temperature of 20-30 degrees C and a pH of 4.0 Cultured -6.4. After 10 days of submerged cultivation, the strain forms a total alkaloid mixture of 600-1000 myg / ml of culture suspension, of which 400-550 myg / ml are ergocristine. At least 60% of the alkaloids are isolatable from the culture filtrate.
