titleOfInvention METHOD FOR PRODUCING EMULSIFIED POLYETHYLENE WEAKENE FROM POLYETHYLENE DEVICES
abstract The invention describes a process for the thermo-oxidative degradation of polyethylene waste, in particular Lanwirtschaftsabfallfolie. The thermo-oxidative degradation of stabilizer-containing polyethylene wastes takes place at temperatures of 373 to 543 K in the presence of 0.1 to 5 wt .-% of a zinc, tin or manganese salt containing Polyethylenwachsoxydates, the metal salt content is 15 to 20 wt .-%. The addition of the initiator is proportional to the active residual stabilizer concentration of the polyethylene wastes. The oxygenated polyethylene waxes produced in this way are emulsifiable and are used in many fields of application, such as self-gloss emulsions and in corrosion protection.
