Process for the preparation of quinoline derivatives |
abstract |
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of quinoline derivatives for use as medicaments. The aim of the invention is to provide novel compounds having activity as 5-hydroxytryptamine antagonists. According to the invention quinoline derivatives of the general formula are prepared wherein A is the radical (CH deep 2) deep) 2- which may optionally be substituted by one or two alkyl radicals having 1 to 2 carbon atoms: Q is an oxygen or sulfur atom; R 0 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or cyclopropyl; R 1 is a defined alkyl radical having 3 to 4 carbon atoms is a phenyl radical which may optionally carry a defined substituent, a defined Hetroarylrest mi 5 or 6 ring atoms; or R 2 and R 3 are hydrogen or an alkyl radical having 1 to 2 carbon atoms; and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts. |
