abstract |
The new silver catalysts contain from 3 to 20% by weight of silver and from 0.003 to 0.05% by weight of potassium, rubidium, cesium or a mixture thereof as a promoter on a heat-resistant, porous carrier material, percentages by weight, based in each case on the weight of the catalyst. They are prepared by applying the silver in the form of a silver salt-amine complex with a specific amine to the carrier material and reducing the complex compound to metallic silver, the amine being a mixture of tert-alkylamine and sec-alkylamine. |
