abstract | The invention relates to a process for the production of microorganisms capable of producing polypeptides having the amino acid sequence of a mature human fibroblast interferon. The aim of the invention is to simplify the production route of interferon and to provide substantially larger amounts thereof. Erfindungsaufbabe is the development of a method for the production of microorganisms as part of the recombinant DNA technology in fibroblast interferon production. According to the invention, a microorganism is transformed with a replicable vector capable of expressing such a polypeptide and cultured. The microorganism is preferably an E. coli strain, Bacillus subtilis or Saccharomyces cerevisiae. |
