abstract | The invention describes a process for the preparation of ketones or diketones by reaction of organometallic compounds of the elements of 4-6. Subgroup of the Periodic Table, in particular of vanadium-organic compounds of the type R deep VCI deep 3 deep n with carbon monoxide under atmospheric pressure. In this case, the organometallic component can be used in substance or as an intermediate. The radical R should be sterically demanding, e.g. a mesityl group. The ketone and diketone formation is then dependent only on the number of coordinated radicals R, and the product separation is facilitated by coordination of the formed diketone at the reaction center. At low n only diketone is formed. |
