The process according to the invention for the deoxidation of steel is intended for use in the production of semi-killed steel in such steelworks which produce the liquid steel in base supplied converters with relatively low charge masses of phosphorus rich pig iron and dropping to blocks. It is the object of the invention to ensure a good quality of Rohstahlbloecke and thus a high output in their hot forming in the 1st stage. The essence of the invention is, without additional technical and material expense, the deoxidizer addition to the dispersive oxygen content of the liquid steel using the manganese content prior to the predode oxidation as an indicator to adjust so that the addition of deoxidants is minimized during the casting process. |
