The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a sterile connection between two tubes made of thermoplastic resin. The goal is to increase labor productivity and reduce the cost of producing sterile connections. The object is to provide a method, a device and a fast and inexpensive system for forming sterile connections, which, without special connectors, allows maximum flexibility in the processing, storage and use of sterile media. The hoses are cut through a hot cutting device so that a molten interface between the hoses and the cutting device is formed. The hoses are aligned and pushed away from one edge of the cutter as they are pressed against each other. As the thermoplastic resin cools, a sterile weld joint is formed. The cutting device should be either thin or have a sharp edge where the aligned hoses are deported and connected. |
