The invention relates to a process for the preparation of novel trisubstituted imidazole derivatives for use as medicaments. The aim of the invention is the provision of new external Hautphlogistika, anti-herpes agents or sunscreens. According to the invention, compounds of the general formula I are prepared in which R 1 and R 2 are independently of each other carbocyclic aryl and heteroaryl, A is a divalent hydrocarbon radical and R 3 is carboxy, esterified carboxy or amidated carboxy, their isomers and their salts, especially pharmaceutically acceptable salts, with the proviso that when A is methylene and R 3 is ethoxycarbonyl, both of the radicals R 1 and R 2 are not both phenyl, and the further proviso that when A is ethylidene and R deep 3 are carboxy, ethoxycarbonyl or carbamoyl, not both of the radicals R 1 and R deep 2 at the same time phenyl, p-methoxyphenyl and p-chlorophenyl. |
