abstract The invention relates to a cytochinin-like membrane-active preparation for increasing plant productivity, the protein nitrogen content and the anions uptake. The preparation can be used in place of Chinäthin. It is characteristic of the preparation that it contains in an amount of 0.5-90% by weight of phthalazine derivatives of the general formula I in which R ind 1 is hydrogen, an optionally substituted by chlorine or Hydroxl alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms or an alkenyl group having 2-4 carbon atoms, halogen, furthermore an amino, sulphydyl or hydroxyl group or their alkyl-substituted forms, or their mono- or diguanidine adducts, mono- or dihydrazine adducts or guanidine-hydrazine adducts and / or imidazole derivatives of the general formula II in which n can be O or 4 and in the case n = 4 the meaning of R is the same as above, R ind 2 is hydrogen or an optionally halogen- or hydroxyl-substituted alkyl group having 1- 5 represents carbon atoms or an alkyl group having 2-5 carbon atoms and X represents an inorganic or organic anion, useful for chloride, bromide or sulfate.
