abstract | The invention relates to the trace determination of organic compounds in terephthalic acid. The aim of the invention is to quantitatively detect 4-carboxybenzaldehyde, isophthalic acid and phthalic acid as traces. The object of the invention is therefore to determine all impurities simultaneously with high accuracy in the presence of the main product. According to the invention, the gas chromatographic separation of the components to be analyzed is carried out on stationary phases of liquid-crystalline substances in the nematic temperature range at a separation time of less than 20 min. |
