titleOfInvention METHOD FOR POLYMERIZING VINYL CHLORIDE
abstract The invention relates to a process for the polymerization of VC by suspension polymerization, optionally in admixture with other copolymerizable monomers using known water-soluble cellulose ethers, which may be partially replaced by known teilversteiften polyvinyl acetates and known radical initiators in reactors with unfavorable hydrodynamic conditions.Es is a hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, with a degree of substitution of 1.9 to 2.4 and a molar hydroxypropyl substitution of 0.3 to 0.5 in a total concentration of 5 x 10 high minus 3 to 125 x 10 high minus 3 mass% based on the aqueous phase, with combined fatty acid esters known in the art, the interfacial activities emanating from the aqueous phase and the organic phase, expressed by the interfacial tension, are the same.
