titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR THE HOUSING OF IRON MATERIALS IN A POWERFUL GAS DISCHARGE |
abstract | The invention relates to a method for the surface hardening of iron materials in a high-current glow discharge burning with a reactive gas. This process is characterized by a short treatment time and ensures wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant workpiece surfaces d. treated parts without elaborate rework. This is achieved by the addition of a high-current gas discharge in H deep 2 stream with subsequent cleaning of the workpieces and the subsequent inlet nitrogen-containing gas, preferably ammonia, to the working pressure and addition of argon with proportions between 5 and 50 vol .-%. The result is a shortening of the nitriding time up to 50%. |
