titleOfInvention SPECIAL CALIBER FOR ROLLING COLORED METAL FOUNDRY
abstract Special caliber for rolling non-ferrous metal casting strips, preferably made of copper or aluminum. The aim of the invention is to obtain a profile when rolling non-ferrous metal moldings with trapezoidal cross-section, which is free of Ueberwalzungen, pressure folding cracks and other surface flaws and allows a homogeneous Gefuegeumwandlung. The invention consists in the creation of a special caliber in which the caliber following the casting process differs from the two symmetrical calibers customarily used in Properzi and Southwire continuous-rod systems and is designed so that it is optimally adapted to the trapezoidal tapping cross section. The delimitation of the lower cut caliber half is formed by two radii whose relationship to each other is in the range of 3 to 8 and the opposite caliber half is limited only by a radius. In this case, the transformation of the asymmetric trapezoidal profile is distributed to a symmetrical intermediate profile on two stitches, which in addition to the gentle Gussgefuegeumwandlung a strong reduction of the surface defects occurs.
