titleOfInvention CATALYST FOR HYDRATING TREATMENT OF HEAVY HYDROCARBONS
abstract The invention relates to a catalyst for the hydrogenation treatment of heavy hydrocarbons, in particular for the production of lubricant oil. The goal is a catalyst that is characterized by a particularly high catalytic activity and can be produced in a way that saves energy and investment. The object of developing a catalyst of corresponding composition, which only needs to be dried before it is incorporated into the reactor, is achieved according to the invention by a catalyst which contains at least the Ni in the form of the unreacted compounds and the entire catalyst in the course of its preparation is exposed to a temperature higher than 570 degrees K, that the catalyst contains structural OH groups corresponding to at least 6 mass% H 2 O 2, based on the catalyst mass, and that the catalyst is capable of volumetric shrinkage by 5 vol%, when it is heated to a temperature of 723 degrees K. The catalyst according to the invention has a higher efficacy compared to conventional, gegluehten types.
