abstract The aim and object is to provide a suitable composition of a mixture based on polystyrene and polypropylene, which ensures good water-repellent properties of the packaging: It has been found that the object can be achieved by using a homogeneous material which is a styrene resin, a polyolefin resin and based on the mixture contains 5 to 25% by weight of three-part polybutadiene. Advantageously, the homogeneous material contains about 45 to 60% by weight polystyrene, about 30 to 45% by weight polypropylene and about 10% by weight three-part polybutadiene. The packaging is suitable for margarine, dairy products, cakes and long-life baked goods.
