titleOfInvention | POLYMERIZATION CATALYST FOR ALPHA OLEFINE |
abstract | The invention relates to a universally usable polymerization catalyst for alpha-olefins, in which a subsequent removal of Katalysatorrueckstaenden from the polymer is not required. The catalyst contains an organometallic promoter and a solid hydrocarbon non-soluble component which is the reaction product of components of (1) at least one Group IV B, VB or VI B metal compound, (2) at least one dibasic metal salt of a phosphoric acid ester at least one phosphoric acid ester group is bonded to metal via oxygen or sulfur and (3) is at least one alkylaluminum halide, wherein the atomic ratio of the metal contained in (1) to the metal contained in (2) is about 0.05: 1 to about 10: 1 and the amount used by (3) is at least sufficient for halogenation of the metal contained in (1) and (2). The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of a catalyst component. |
