abstract | A method for stabilizing a resin against heat, stabilizer composition based on mercapto tin compounds and the stabilized plastic material. The invention relates to the stabilization of halovinyl resins by incorporating one or more tetramer-capotin (IV) compounds, against heat. The stabilization is improved by the addition of a crown ether, called a cyclic polyether. The proportion by weight of the crown ethers is generally from 10 to 200 parts per 100 parts of the tin- (IV) tetramercaptide, and preferably from 25 to 100. |
