titleOfInvention | METHOD FOR PRODUCING STEEL |
abstract | The invention relates to a process for the production of steel using an oxygen-Oberwindkonverter, by which also an underwinding gas supply is possible. The object of the invention is to provide an improved process which achieves a great increase in the efficiency of refining by the top wind oxygen and avoids overflow of molten steel and slag. According to the invention, the upper wind freshening is combined with the underwinding freshening in that the oxygen is supplied by means of a top windblown and a bottom windblown substantially throughout the refining process, from 2 vol% to 17 vol% of a predetermined total oxygen flow rate by means of underwind blowing while the remainder of the oxygen is blown onto the surface of the melt with the help of the top blowing lance. |
